RING 1 – LEAD REIN PONY – 9.00am

Lead Rein classes are restricted to riders under 8 yrs of age lead by an attendant, with the minimum age of 4. Ponies 128cm & under.
Champion Lead Rein not eligible to parade for Supreme or class 61- Pony Breeders sash.
Lead Rein Ponies to be judged on 60% suitability & safeness, 40% conformation & paces.

-30*- Best presented out Pony and Rider.
-31*- Best Lead Rein Rider.
-32- District Pony. (Rule 16)
-33– Novice Pony.
-34*- Open Pony.

-37- Mare most suitable for breeding. (Rule 20)

RING 1 – FIRST RIDDEN PONY

– to commence immediately following Lead Rein Pony.
First Ridden classes restricted to riders under 10 years of age. Ponies 138cm & under.

Mare or Gelding not over 148cm. Pony Breeders’ of NZ Ridden Class. Entries must be fully registered with Pony Breeders’ Society of New Zealand (inc) and be foaled in NZ. Judged on 50% conformation & 50% paces, manners & ability. Please state registered number on entry form.

Hack riders are not permitted to compete outside their ring.  (Rule 10).

Note: Riders or are 12 years or 16 years may choose to enter the class designated to the next age group, however doing so means entering the same class level for the entire circuit.  Failure to do so will result in loss of Aggregate sash points.
